We install only products that have a reasonable expectation for superior performance. This does not mean that we insist on the most elaborate product, but we do demand solid, reliable products from our manufacturers. Our customers rely on us to select materials in their best interest, knowing we will strive for a better product at a reasonable price.
Installation:
We train our employees to one standard of installation. We do not do a cheap job for one customer and a better job for another. We don't want any confusion in the minds of either our employees or our customers as to what kind of job we are doing this time.
Underground obstructions or other special conditions may require deviations, but generally our work conforms to the following standards. (Standard choices in black)
DOMESTIC WATER MAIN
Type L copper pipe, 12 inches below grade. Lead-free solder.
Schedule 40 PVC pipe 12 inches below grade. Joints primed and solvent welded.
SPRINKLER WATER MAIN
Schedule 40 PVC pipe 12 inches below grade. Joints primed and solvent welded.
Type L copper pipe above grade. Lead-free solder.
Separate shut-off valve for sprinkler main.
CONTROL VALVES
Copper risers with lead-free solder.
Champion 466 or 300 brass manual control valve, above grade.
Superior 800 or Champion EA series brass electric adaptor for automation.
Superior 950 brass electric valve, for below grade installation in a 6" PVC box.
LATERAL PIPING
Schedule 40 PVC pipe 8 inches deep, joined with Weldon 2721 solvent.
Ultra-violet resistant PVC pipe for above ground installation.
Drip hose on surface.
HEADS
Head to head spacing for spray heads.
Double swing joints consisting of two marlex or PVC street 90's and a schedule 80 PVC riser under each head in shrub areas.
Triple swing joints consisting of three marlex or PVC street 90's and a 6 inch schedule 80 PVC riser under each head in lawn areas.
Toro 570p 4 inch pop-up for lawn areas, with low angle, 12, or 15 foot nozzles.
Toro 570s for shrub areas, with flat or low-angle nozzles
Toro 570-6p 6 inch pop-up for special shrub area needs.
Hunter Shrub Rotors for overhead watering of large shrub areas.
Hunter pop-up rotors for large, rectangular lawns.
Rain Bird 25 series impact heads for overhead watering of large shrub areas.
MP Rotator nozzles for areas where run-off is a problem.
All lawn heads set flush to grade.
